Injury Accident W Elm Rd & N Blue Ridge Rd

OFFENSE:  One vehicle injury accident

CASE:  2008-5205          

On Wednesday October 29^th 2008 the Gage County Sheriff's Office, Beatrice Fire & Rescue, Dewitt Fire and Rescue, and the Star Care helicopter responded to a one vehicle injury accident which had occurred just east of North Blue Ridge Road on Elm Road.

A 1991 Chevy pickup driven by 51 year old Michael Havrilla of Beatrice Nebraska was driving east on Elm Road.  Mr. Havrilla lost control of his vehicle entering the north ditch.  The vehicle then rolled twice before coming to rest in the north ditch.  It is undetermined whether Mr. Havrilla was ejected from the vehicle. 

Mr. Havrilla was transported by Star Care helicopter to Bryan LGH West for injuries sustained in the accident.  There were no passengers in the vehicle with him.

Seatbelts were not being used and alcohol and/or drugs may have been a contributing circumstance in the accident.
