ATV Injury Accident

LOCATION:  1/8 mi south of 11^th and Caldwell Beatrice, NE

At approximately 1200 hours on November 1, 2008, Beatrice Communications received a report of an ATV injury accident south of 11^th and Caldwell Streets by the river.  Dennis Kropp, 50 years old of Wymore, was operating an ATV along the river bank and was traveling up an embankment.  The front tires of the ATV came off the ground and the ATV rolled end over end.  The ATV rolled over Kropp.  Kropp, who was wearing a helmet, was transported to a Lincoln hospital to be treated for injuries.  Agencies responding to this call were Gage County Sheriff's Office, Beatrice Police Department, Beatrice Fire and Rescue and Star Care air ambulance.
