Injury Accident ½ Mile East of SW 58th Road on Chestnut Road

On November 2, 2008, the Gage County Sheriffs Office responded to a single vehicle roll over accident on Chestnut Road approximately ½ mile east of Southwest 58th Road. Upon arrival, deputies found 29-year-old Jacob Colgrove of DeWitt had been traveling eastbound on Chestnut Road. He had swerved to avoid an oncoming vehicle and lost control of his 1997 Chevrolet pickup. The pickup entered the south ditch causing the vehicle to roll over once and come to rest on its side. Colgrove was transported to Beatrice Community Hospital and treated for his injuries.
Seatbelts were in use and alcohol was not believed to be a factor in the accident.
Responding agencies to the accident were Pickrell Fire and Rescue, Beatrice Rural Fire, Beatrice Fire and Rescue, and the Gage County Sheriffs Office.
