Injury Accident SW 100th Rd & Chestnut Rd

On Sunday November 9th 2008 the Gage County Sheriff's Office responded to a one vehicle injury accident which had occurred just east of S.W. 100th Road on Chestnut Road.

A 1996 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by 43-year-old Steve Pieper of Pickrell, Nebraska was driving east on Chestnut Road.  Mr. Pieper lost control of his vehicle entering the south ditch.  The vehicle then rolled once before coming to rest in the south ditch.  Mr. Pieper received minor injuries and did not receive any medical attention. There were no passengers in the vehicle with him.  Seatbelts were not being used and alcohol may have been a contributing circumstance in the accident.

The accident occurred at approximately 12:30 a.m. and the Sheriff's Office was notified at approximately 9:45 a.m.  During that period of time, an unknown subject stole the tires off of the wrecked vehicle and stole the stereo.
