Cattle Theft

LOCATION: 3 ¾ miles east of Cortland on East Apple Road.
TIME: Between 1900 hrs on 02/17/2009 and 1115 hrs on 02/18/2009

On 02/18/2009, at approx. 1145 hrs, The Gage County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a theft of cattle which occurred on property located on the south side of the roadway 3 ¾ miles east of Cortland, Nebraska on East Apple Road.
Between 1900 hrs on 02/17/2009 and 1115 hrs on 02/18/2009, unknown suspects entered farm ground owned and operated by Darin J. Krueger, 27, of Cortland with an unknown make or model, possible pick up truck and cattle trailer and stole one black 5- year-old bull with an approximate value of $3,000.00 which was purchased from GNS Livestock near Ericson; one white 7 or 8-year-old cow with an approximate value of $1,100.00; and nine other cattle either red or brown which may have a brand containing a backwards letter S and an upside down letter A which will be side by side.
