Injury Accident 1/4 Mile East of SW 100th Road on W Chestnut Road

Gage County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a single vehicle accident on West Chestnut Road east of Southwest 100th Road. Upon arrival, Sheriff’s Deputies located 30 year old Stacy A. Lehmkuhl of DeWitt trapped inside her vehicle. Members of the DeWitt Rescue and Clatonia Rescue were able to free her from the wreckage. Lehmkuhl was flown via Star Care V for her injuries.
Lehmkuhl was traveling westbound on West Chestnut Road approaching SW 100th when she lost control of her vehicle, went into the north ditch striking a bridge railing, and arrived at final rest in the bottom of the creek bed.
Seatbelts were not in use and alcohol in not believed to be a factor.
Responding agencies to the incident were DeWitt Fire and Rescue, Members of Clatonia Rescue, Gage County Sheriff’s Office, and Star Care V.
