Injury Accident 420' South of Plum Road on Highway 77

On December 6, 2009, Beatrice Communications received a report of a one vehicle injury accident approximately 420 feet south of Plum Road on Highway 77.  Nathaniel Norval, 28 years old from Fort Riley, KS, was traveling south on Highway 77.  He was driving a 2003 Ford four door vehicle.  Norval lost control of the vehicle and slid into the west ditch of Highway 77.  The passenger side of the vehicle hit a culvert.  Norval’s wife, Kristin 28 years old of Fort Riley, KS, was transported to a local hospital for possible injuries.  Norval’s children, Isaiah, 7 years old and Naomi, 5 years old, received minor injuries in the accident.  All subjects were using safety restraints.  Snowy and icy road conditions are considered to be a factor in the accident.  Departments that responded to this accident were Gage County Sheriff’s Office, Wymore Police Department, Wymore Fire and Rescue, Blue Springs Fire, and Beatrice Rescue.
