Injury Accident at SW 61st and Hickory Road

On February 4, 2010 at approximately 0705 hours, Beatrice Communications received a report of a one vehicle rollover minor injury accident. James S Belcher, 47 years old of Kearney, Nebraska was traveling west on Hickory Road by SW 61st Road.  Belcher lost control of 2007 Chevrolet van, swerved to the left, overcorrected to the right, and slid sideways off the road to the left.  Belcher’s vehicle collided with an embankment and rolled ½ time into the south ditch and came to rest on its top.  Belcher was wearing his seatbelt and was complaining of pain.  Icy road conditions are believed to be the contributing factor in the accident.
