Fatality Accident Approximately 1/4 Mile East of SW 142nd Rd ***Updated 4/14/10 @ 1615***

The driver of the vehicle, Daysha D Aksamit, 13 of Hallam, was pronounced dead at BryanLGH West in Lincoln.  A passenger of the vehicle, Dalton Aksamit, 16 of Hallam, was transported to BryanLGH West, current condition unknown.

 

DATE: April 13th, 2010 at 1840 hours       

LOCATION: Gage Road approximately ¼ mile east of Southwest 142nd  

OFFENSE: Single vehicle rollover fatality accident       

CASE: 2010-1542              
 
On April 13, 2010 at approximately 1840 hours, the Gage County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle rollover fatality accident on the Gage County line approximately ¼ mile east of Southwest 142nd Road. 

Investigation revealed the vehicle was traveling eastbound on Gage Road when it left the roadway, traveled into the south ditch, and rolled one time before arriving at final rest.

Emergency personnel arrived on scene and both occupants were out of the vehicle.  One occupant was life-flighted to BryanLGH West.  The other occupant was transported to BryanLGH by advanced life support.  One occupant was pronounced dead by the Lancaster County Coroner. 
 
Names of the parties involved will not be released at this time due to the age of the parties and pending notification of the next of kin.

Alcohol is not a factor and unknown if restraints were in use as the investigation is pending.

Responding units to the accident were Hallam Fire and Rescue, Cortland Fire, Clatonia Fire, Star Care V, and the Gage County Sheriffs Office.
