Injury Accident at Highway 77 & Pickrell Road

OFFENSE:  Two vehicle injury accident

On Tuesday May 4, 2010 the Gage County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two vehicle accident which occurred at the junction of Hwy 77 & Pickrell Road.

A 1999 Chevy Monte Carlo driven by 36 year old Timothy Reinke of Beatrice, Nebraska was driving northbound on Hwy 77 when a 1999 Ford Windstar driven by 14 year old Katlin Brown of Pickrell, Nebraska turned off of Pickrell Road onto Hwy 77 failing to yield right of way to Mr. Reinke. 

Mr. Reinke and his 6 year old daughter sustained injuries from the accident but refused medical attention.  No other injuries were reported at the time of the accident. 

All occupants were wearing seatbelts and Mr. Reinke’s vehicle had airbag deployment.  A citation was issued for failure to yield right-of-way to Brown.  Alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
