Injury Accident 1/4 East of S 51st Road on E Plum Road

On May 8, 2010, at approximately 0108 hrs, Wymore Fire and Rescue, the Wymore Police Department, and the Gage County Sheriff’s Office responded to a one-vehicle injury accident at the bridge approximately ¼ mile east of S. 51st Rd on E. Plum Road.  Upon arrival, it was discovered that the vehicle, a 1972 Chevrolet pickup, was unoccupied.  A trail of blood was found and tracked for nearly a mile before rescue personnel were advised that the driver, Timothy Busch, 33, of Wymore, was at the hospital in Marysville, Kansas for treatment of injuries sustained in the accident.  Investigation showed that Busch had drifted off the roadway on the north side of E. Plum Road and drove directly into the guardrail on the north side of the bridge.

After Busch left the accident scene, he was picked up and transported to the hospital in Marysville, KS for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.  Seatbelts were not in use and alcohol is believed to be a factor in the accident.
