Injury Accident on South A Street, Blue Springs

On Wednesday May 12, 2010, the Gage County Sheriff’s Office, Wymore Fire & Rescue, Blue Springs Fire Department, and Beatrice Rescue responded to a one vehicle accident which occurred at the creek bridge on South ‘A’ Street in Blue Springs.

A 1996 Oldsmobile driven by 25 year old Nacole Hicks of Wymore, Nebraska was driving southbound on ‘A’ Street when she ran off of the road to the right striking the bridge railing which impaled the railing into the driver’s side of the vehicle.  Ms. Hicks and two passengers, 31 year old Randall Pohlman of Wymore and a 4 year old child, were taken to Beatrice Community Hospital for injuries sustained in the accident.  Airbags were deployed and seatbelts were not being utilized.   

Alcohol was not a factor in the accident and citations pending.
