Injury Accident on Highway 136 and S 66th Road

LOCATION: Highway 136 approximately S 66th  

OFFENSE: One vehicle rollover

On May 13, 2010, the Gage County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a male subject in the Emergency Department at Beatrice Community Hospital being treated for injuries that he sustained in a single car rollover.  Jacob A Hanshaw, 24 of Kearney, claimed that he lost control of his 2006 Chevrolet HHR on Highway 136 at approximately S 66th Road.  Hanshaw attributed the loss of control to the wet road surface.  Hanshaw’s vehicle entered the ditch and rolled.  Hanshaw was wearing his seatbelt and the air bags did deploy.  Alcohol is considered to be a factor in the accident.  Hanshaw was the only occupant.
