Injury Accident at W Hwy 136 & SW 61 Rd

LOCATION: US Highway 136 and Southwest 61st Road

On August 15th, 2011 at approximately 1555 hours, Gage County Communications advised of a two vehicle injury accident that occurred at West Highway 136 and Southwest 61st Road.  It was determined that a 2011 GMC Acadia, driven by 39 year old Jennifer Warren of Odell, was attempting to turn south onto Southwest 61st Road when she was struck from behind by a 1995 Chevrolet K-1500 pickup driven by 34 year old James Plagman of Fairbury who was traveling west on Highway 136.

James Plagman was transported by Beatrice Rescue to Beatrice Community Hospital for his injuries. Warren was not injured and both drivers were wearing their seatbelts.  Alcohol was not a factor in the accident.    

Responding agencies to the accident were Beatrice Rural Fire, Beatrice Fire and Rescue, and the Gage County Sheriff’s Office.
