Injury Accident at S 176th & E Birch Roads

OFFENSE: Single vehicle roll-over, injury accident

On 8-18-2012 at approximately 1735 hours, the Gage County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single vehicle rollover injury accident at the intersection of S. 176th Road and E. Birch Road. A black Ford F250 pickup driven by Neil Pella age 20 of Sterling NE, was eastbound on E. Birch Road.  At the intersection of S. 176th Road,  the pickup began to lose control and slid into the east ditch causing the truck to roll over and strike a power pole. The driver refused medical treatment at the scene but later was treated at Beatrice Community Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

During the investigation of the accident, Pella was arrested for DUI 2nd Offense and jailed.  Seatbelts were not in use.
