Two Vehicle Injury Accident @ E. Hwy 136 and Main St., Filley, NE

On 7-7-2012 at approximately 1130 hrs, the Gage County Sheriff’s Office, Filley Fire and Beatrice Rescue responded to a 2 vehicle injury accident at E. Hwy 136 and Main St. in Filley, NE. A black 2004 Ford Ranger driven by Linda Hager age 65 of Crab Orchard, NE was traveling east bound on E. Hwy 136, at approximately Main St. in Filley, NE. A blue 1989 Ford F-150 driven by Fred Werman age 90 of Tecumseh, NE was west bound on Hwy 136 and turned south at Main St. and struck Hager in the front of the vehicle. Werman was transported to Beatrice Community Hospital, then to Bryan LGH West for life threatening injuries. Hager was taken to Beatrice Community Hospital for non-life threatening injuries by a private party. Seat belts were worn by Hager and her airbags were deployed. Alcohol is not a factor. Werman was cited for failure to yield right of way and no occupant protection in use.
