Injury Accident at S 162nd & Plum Roads

The Gage County Sheriff’s Office came across a one vehicle injury accident located at S. 162nd Road at the intersection of Plum Road.  A 2004 Chevy Silverado pickup, driven by 19 year old Jeffry Gyhra of Pawnee City Nebraska, was traveling east on Plum Road when it failed to stop at the stop sign located at the T-intersection of S. 162nd & Plum Road.  The vehicle left the roadway and struck an embankment.  Airbags did not deploy and it is unsure whether seatbelts were being utilized. 

The driver received injuries sustained in the accident and was taken by private vehicle to his home in Pawnee County prior to the Deputy locating the accident.  Three other passengers reported no injuries in the accident.  Alcohol is considered to be a factor in the accident but has not yet been confirmed.
