Two Vehicle Injury Accident S 94th Road & Sargent Road

On 1/7/2012 at approximately 1000 hrs, the Gage County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two vehicle injury accident at the intersection on S. 94th Rd and E. Sargent Rd. Vehicle #1, a 2002 Chevy Silverado driven by Gary Ideus, age 64 of Filley, was traveling westbound on E. Sargent Rd. At the intersection of S 94th Rd, Vehicle #1 failed to yield to Vehicle #2, a 2012 Ford F-150 driven by Duane Jurgens, age 61 of  Filley. Both vehicles collided and came to rest in the southwest ditch. Ideus suffered non-life threatening injuries.  Jurgens was wearing his seat belt and Ideus was not. Ideus was cited for Failure to Yield the Right of Way and received a warning for no seatbelts. Alcohol is not suspected to be a factor.
