Two Vehicle Injury Accident at US Highway 77 & Walnut

On 7/26/12 at 2212 hrs, Deputies of the Gage County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident at Hwy 77 and Walnut St.  Lisa Wickwire, 24 yoa of Beatrice, was traveling Southbound on Hwy 77 when her vehicle, a 2006 Chrysler Pacifica, crossed the centerline and struck a trailer in tow behind a 1999 Chevy Tahoe being driven by Anthony Thomas, 48 yoa of Wymore.  Wickwire’s vehicle continued across Hwy 77 and came to rest in the East ditch.  Thomas’s vehicle also entered the East ditch where the trailer became separated from the Tahoe and rolled once.

Wickwire was transported to Bryan LGH West via Stare Care for her injuries.  Thomas, passenger, Jeannie Thomas, 44 yoa of Wymore was transported to BCH by Wymore Rescue to be treated for her injuries.  Air bags were deployed and seatbelts were in use.

Agencies responding to the accident included the Gage County Sheriff’s Office, Nebraska State Patrol, Wymore Fire and Rescue, Blue Springs Fire and Rescue, Beatrice Fire and Rescue, and Star Care.

The investigation will continue.
