Injury Accident Resulting in DWI

On September 02, 2012 at 0251 hours, Beatrice Communications received a 911 call reference a male party that had fallen out of the back of a golf cart near Rockford Lake on the curve. Through the course of the investigation, it was determined that the driver of the golf cart, Bryan Hill 50 of Filley, had been drinking and was placed under arrest for DWI.

There were four people in the golf cart.  The injured person was Dan Whitlinger 30 of Beatrice.  Whitlinger was sitting on the passenger’s side facing the rear of the golf cart.  Hill was going around a curve when Whitlinger lost his balance and fell out. Whitlinger hit the back of his head on the blacktop road. Whitlinger was transported to the Beatrice Airport where he was life flighted to BryanLGH West.  He condition is unknown at this time.     

The agencies that were involved in this incident were the Gage County Sheriff's Office, Nebraska State Patrol, Beatrice Rescue, and Star Care.
