One Vehicle Rollover Injury Accident

DETAILS:
On June 7, 2008 at approximately 0145 hours, Gage County deputies were dispatched to a one vehicle rollover injury accident on Scott Road between SW 103rd and SW 117th. The driver of the vehicle, Jesse Koenig, 17 yrs old of DeWitt had been taken to Beatrice Community Hospital by a friend. Koenig was traveling east on Scott Road when he swerved to miss several deer and went into the south ditch. Koenig’s vehicle, a green 1994 Dodge Dakota pickup hit a culvert and caused the pickup to rollover once. Koenig was able to free himself from the vehicle and get help. Koenig was the only occupant of the vehicle. Koenig was treated for his injuries and released from the hospital. Alcohol is not considered to be a factor in the accident and a seat belt was not in use.
