Click It or Ticket Grant

The Gage County Sheriff's Office has been selected to participate in the Click It or Ticket grant provided by the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety.  This grant allows the Sheriff’s Office to utilize extra full-time, part-time, and reserve deputies.  All the mileage and overtime is reimbursed from the grant.  Deputies will be on saturated patrol throughout the county.  The grant will begin at the end of May and continue into the beginning of June.

The goal of the Click It or Ticket mini-grant is to raise the awareness of the drivers throughout Gage County to utilize the seatbelt for the safety of the motoring public.  Deputies will be issuing citations for the failure to wear seatbelts as required by Nebraska state law.
