On 12-26-2009, the Gage County Sheriff’s Office, Beatrice Fire and Rescue, and Pickrell Fire and Rescue responded to a single vehicle rollover accident approximately ¼ mile north of E. Cherry Road on Highway 77. 

The Gage County Sheriff's Office had been selected to participate in the Click It or Ticket grant provided by the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety.

On December 8, 2009, Gage County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a 911 call in reference to a stranded motorist who had gone into the ditch caused by the hazardous weather. 

The Gage County Sheriff's Office has been selected to participate in the national D.U.I. “You Drink and Drive, You Lose” campaign.

On November 4, 2009, the Gage County Sheriff's Office recovered eight mailboxes one mile south of Barneston. 

The Gage County Sheriff's Office now has a photo display in the front lobby area.  It is in chronological order of the Sheriffs from Gage County dating back to the first Sheriff in 1857.
