The newly established web site for the Gage County Sheriff's Office has proven to be a valuable tool. It has struck its first blow in the fight against crime. On the evening of May 19th, 2008, the Sheriff’s Office received an anonymous tip regarding the whereabouts of Gage County’s “Most Wanted” David E Barrett, date of birth 3/8/85, who had three arrest warrants issued on him in 2007. Two warrants were felonies and one was a misdemeanor. Charges ranged from Driving Under the Influence, Motor Vehicle Theft, and Theft by Deception. The information received indicated that Mr. Barrett was residing at a residence in Winslow, Arizona. Once this information was obtained, authorities in that jurisdiction were contacted. Within a few hours, he was in custody. At this time, he is waiting pending the outcome of extradition proceedings.
