The office of the Sheriff for the County of Gage has existed since 1857. The Sheriff holds an elected office, which is voted on by the citizens of the county. The Sheriff is elected to a four year term and he or she may serve additional terms if re-elected by the citizens.

On July 9, 2010 at approximately 1130 hours, the Gage County Sheriff’s Office and Beatrice Fire and Rescue responded to the Gage County Detention Center in reference to an unresponsive inmate.

Terroristic Threats Leads to Search Warrant and Arrest

On Wednesday July 7th 2010, the Gage County Sheriff’s Office received a report that Travis Graham, 31 of rural Wymore, had threatened an individual in rural Gage County. 

Injury Accident at S. 66th Road & Hickory Road

On Sunday July 4th, 2010, the Gage County Sheriff’s Office, Beatrice Rescue, and the Beatrice Rural Fire Department responded to a two vehicle accident that occurred at the intersection of S. 66th and Hickory Road.

On June 7, 2010, the Gage County Sheriff’s Office responded to 45330 US Highway 77 in reference to an explosive device found in a mailbox at the residence.
