The office of the Sheriff for the County of Gage has existed since 1857. The Sheriff holds an elected office, which is voted on by the citizens of the county. The Sheriff is elected to a four year term and he or she may serve additional terms if re-elected by the citizens.

On October 20, 2011 at approximately 1130 hours, the Gage County Sheriff’s Office, Beatrice Fire and Rescue, Wymore Police Department and Star Care were dispatched to an injury vehicle accident at 3964 W. Pine Rd.

1st Annual Pumpkin Run Hosted by Beatrice Family Chiropractic Clinic for "Shop With a Cop"

The Nebraska Intergovernmental Risk Management Association’s annual conference was held in Kearney, Nebraska on October 6th and 7th, 2011.  Gage County Sheriff Millard “Gus” Gustafson was given special recognition.

Threatening Note Found at Diller/Odell High School
